The Nan Boothby Memorial Library is relying on some fantastic beasts to help raise funds for a new learning lab.

Next Friday, Nov. 18, library officials have rented out an entire theatre at the Cochrane Movie House to premiere Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - the highly-anticipated Harry Potter prequel, written by J.K. Rowling and starring Eddie Redmayne.

For $15 a person, visitors will watch the film in 3D at the theatre, then return to the library for a medieval-themed after party, which includes food, games, a photo booth and other “fantastic” surprises.

Tickets are available at the Railway Street branch. Proceeds will be directed toward the facility’s new flexible space, where library visitors can work and create with technology.
