A number of bands and entertainment events taking place this weekend in Cochrane will warm your chilly winter nights.

Blues musician Tim Williams returns to the Heritage House Coffee Company on Friday night. The award-winning veteran of the Canadian roots music scene brings his traditional sound to the stage.

Doors open at 7 p.m., and Williams starts his set at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and are available at eventbrite.ca or at the coffee house.

At the newly-renovated Venue Bar & Grill, Twoshine Country takes the stage on Saturday at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the show, or $25 for dinner and music combined. Reservations are required for the full meal deal.

The band just released their first full-length album entitled Mixtape. Their debut single Track 9 is garnering attention on radio.

The Royal Canadian Legion’s Cochrane branch will host its weekly barbeque on Friday night. Patrons can choose between a $9 steak dinner or $7 burger, served with potatoes, salad, garlic toast and beans.
