Dodging highway debris

Dear editor: It has become increasingly unbearable for Cochrane residents travelling along Hwy 22’s south corridor with the daily dodging of dangerously large projectiles flying from commercial trucks.

Dear editor:

It has become increasingly unbearable for Cochrane residents travelling along Hwy 22’s south corridor with the daily dodging of dangerously large projectiles flying from commercial trucks.

The rock debris on our local streets, intersections and approaching highways are a disgrace and beginning to pose a safety issue to our drivers, to make no mention of the financial burden being absorbed by the residents with the constant replacement of windshields and damage to the front of their vehicles.

The problem lies with responsibility and accountability…there is none. Between the Town of Cochrane, the Province of Alberta, the commissioned contractors and the numerous developers in the area, all of them are dodging their responsibilities like the tax-paying citizens of Cochrane dodging the rocks on their daily commute. Time to do something.
