Jumping Pound 4-H back in the fall

Dear editor: It is hard to believe, but the year is already winding up with the Jumping Pound 4-H Club banquet at the end of the month.

Dear editor:

It is hard to believe, but the year is already winding up with the Jumping Pound 4-H Club banquet at the end of the month.

Since my last article, the club has participated in highway cleanup and had an awesome grooming day at the Matthews.

Thank you for hosting this event, Matthews’ family. Thank you also to Dwayne Martin for his clipping demonstration and judging. Thanks to all the family volunteers in helping make the day a success.

Achievement Day was a great success for all our members.

Special recognition to our steer champions — Megan Mcleod and Kalsie Sibbald; female champions — Megan Mcleod and Caitlyn Matthews; and showmanship champions — Kylie and Kalsie Sibbald; Maddy Sibbald and myself; Jared Couch and Megan Mcleod.

Congratulations everyone!

The 4-H on Parade was a huge success for the club with many awards in purebred and commercial confirmation, showmanship, grooming, as well as judging. Well done members!

Best wishes to all our members heading off to summer livestock shows.

A huge thank you from the club to all our buyers and our sponsors...without you none of this would be possible. Your support of youth in agriculture is greatly appreciated.

Hope you all have a safe and enjoyable summer. Thanks again and we will see you in the fall.
