One of our senior friends in our coffee circle nailed it. Just a day after we had all helped Notley get elected in 2015 he said she would never get re-elected in 2019. There is no way she can fix the mess the Klein, Stelmach, and Redford governments put us in in only four years and that's what Albertans will expect. If the oil industry hasn't fully recovered by that time she will get blamed for all the unemployment that was created because of the oil industry crash of 2008. He was certainly right.
Now, while Albertans watch Kenney give away their oil wealth, along with an increase in tax breaks for his rich friends, Norway and Alaska will continue to enjoy what their oil wealth is doing for them.
If our fellow seniors need a bed in a nursing home for themselves, or a loved one, they had better be able to afford a private-for-profit one at a cost of $10,000 per month, as our family found out, thanks to what Klein did. Notley was getting set to build 2,800 new public beds to help seniors with this serious problem, and you've told Kenney you don't want them.
How much is his private health care system going to cost seniors and you can bet privatizing our education system will be next. It's a well known fact that Reformers are all about privatization while they help themselves and their rich friends get a lot richer at the people's expense.
