Loyalty: What comes first?

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau kicked Jody Wilson-Raybould and Dr. Jane Philpott out of Liberal Party caucus for their lack of loyalty to himself and the Liberal party. That is my understanding and that’s the perception many have.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau kicked Jody Wilson-Raybould and Dr. Jane Philpott out of Liberal Party caucus for their lack of loyalty to himself and the Liberal party. That is my understanding and that’s the perception many have. So, tell me just exactly what I am missing here. A few questions follow.

Did not the PM take an oath loyalty to the Country and the Queen?

Would not that oath include obeying the Laws that govern Canada?

What comes first, loyalty to Trudeau and the Party or to the country and the rule Of law?

To this simple retired geologist, ex-soldier and ranch & farm hand, your first loyalty should be to the country and the rule of law.

So, can anybody tell me what I am missing here?

Maybe being a Liberal gives them some God given right to put their desires and their party above Canada, Canadians and the rule of law?

Or maybe Liberals are just misguided souls or just arrogant, self-righteous in their dealings with the rest of Canada and Canadians.

Can someone clarify this for me?

Then again I might be a misguided, out of touch soul who thinks the "rule of law” and "loyalty to Canada" should come first.

Silly me.
