Two special ladies part of what makes town great

Dear Editor:

Cochrane is such a great town; I knew it, but it was re-enforced the morning of March 7.

At about 7:10 a.m. that day, I was going north on James Walker Trail (taking my daughter to leadership at Bow Valley High School), and before I knew it I had run off the road.

Immediately, two women stopped to assist me. They and their kids tried to push the car out of the ditch — that did not work. One of the ladies even tried to get a tow truck using her Alberta Motor Association card.

Eventually, we did arrange AMA and the tow truck finally came and got me going, but not before most of the drivers passing stopped to find out if I was OK and if I needed assistance. The guy from Cochrane Toyota even offered to have me wait there.

One of the women took all the kids to school while the other waited with me, then she came back, and they both waited until they knew the tow truck was on its way.

Thank you ladies, you are angels for the day.
