Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre employees were “Proud to Wear Pink” on Oct. 27 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A total of 134 employees participated in the fundraiser (not all were available for the picture). The centre’s employees donated money for every employee who participated and raised $1,340.00 for the Tom Baker Cancer Centre.
As October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it is fitting to donate to the Tom Baker Cancer Center as they are a lead cancer center in Southern Alberta for prevention, research and treatment programs as well as supportive care, organizers said of the donation.
