Apples to apples. Apples to youth?

The second annual Kiwanis Apple Festival kicks off this weekend on Sept. 24 and 25.

The festival will host apple baking and tasting, family activities and games, bouncy castle, face painting, live entertainment, a farmers market, and silent auction.

Proceeds from the festival will go toward Kamp Kiwanis, a camp that hosts 400 children annually. The camping experience is made possible by Calgary Kiwanis clubs since 1951, where 100 per cent subsidy is provided for every nine to 12-year-old who attends camp.

The festival will be hosted at Kamp Kiwanis at the end of Highway 8, just beyond the traffic circle, located at 241001 Range Road 42, Calgary.
