Bethany Care Centre Christmas Market invites community in

Cochrane’s Bethany Care Centre will be holding its 4th annual Christmas Market giving an opportunity for people to start some holiday shopping.

Cochrane’s Bethany Care Centre will be holding its 4th annual Christmas Market giving an opportunity for people to start some holiday shopping.

“Not only is it a chance for our residents to do some Christmas shopping, but we are able to invite the community in to visit the Bethany Care Centre,” said recreation assistant Shannon Lappin.“It is a feel-good event.”

Lappin said the market was started for residents who were unable to leave the centre to do their Christmas shopping and that each year the vendors who participate donate 10 per cent of their sales back to the centre.

She added that the funds they raise at the Christmas Market go toward planting flowers at the centre in the spring.

There will be 20 vendors at the event this year with a wide variety of items and Lappin said that almost all are local home-based businesses.

Students from Cochrane High School will be running a bake table and will be giving 100 per cent of the profits to the centre.

The event runs from 12 – 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Cochrane Bethany Care Centre. For more information call 403-932-6422.
