Resolve Legal Group is hosting an afternoon fundraising event on Sunday (July 28) in support of Big Hill Haven women's emergency shelter and the Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane and Area (BGCCA).
The event begins at noon with a free information session on how to hire a contractor, what to do when a reno contract goes south and which renos give you more bang for your resale buck. Participating is free, but donations are welcome. Presenting the information will be representatives from Resolve Legal Group, Loberg Law, the Better Business Bureau and Cochrane realtor Debbie Leah with Royal LePage.
Aside from the information, there will be a number of family-friendly events throughout the afternoon as well as a chance to participate in an auction for picnic tables and benches that have been creatively painted by the BGCCA.
Deanna Aquilina, client support coordinator with Resolve Legal Group, said the auction will begin at 4:15 p.m. and go until about 4:30 p.m. with two kids tables, four adult tables and two benches.
She added there will also be a dunk-a-lawyer event where attendees can buy a chance to watch Resolve's lawyers take a splash in the dunk tank.
Other activities and fundraising events include a raffle, 50/50, facepainting and lawn games.
Everything will be held at Resolve Legal Group's Cochrane location at 116 Centre Avenue.
