Bragg Creek and Morley residents arrested

On Nov. 3, Cochrane RCMP received a report of a stolen sport-utility vehicle (SUV) out of Calgary around 6 p.m., which was being tracked by OnStar, an in-vehicle security system.

When the RCMP initially located the vehicle, suspects in the vehicle fled, driving away. The RCMP backed off the pursuit and continued to track the SUV until it was located at the Morley townsite.

Four suspects were taken from a residence in Morley where the SUV was parked in front. The suspects were taken into custody and charged without incident or damage to the property.

Charged with possession of stolen property and flight from police is Kali Geisbrecht, 19, of Bragg Creek; Keifer Holloway, 25, of Morley; Gatine Applegarth, 21, of Hobbema; and Skylar Porter, 24, of Calgary.

On Nov. 4, Cochrane RCMP responded to a report of theft of cooper wire at a Telus Construction site. When RCMP arrived at the location, two males fled on foot and were later caught with assistance from the RCMP Police Dog Service.

Two males are in custody awaiting a bail hearing and facing charges of possession of stolen property, possession of break-and-enter instruments, mischief to property, possession of controlled substances (methamphetamine) and charges under the Traffic Safety Act.

Names of the suspects were not released.
