Cochrane residents will get a crash course in spring curbside collection program through the town.
The town will be delivering zone collection calendars for 2017 (five zones in total) which include information on the organics waste program that begins in April and a monthly calendar with pick ups.
Pickups will take place weekly during the spring through summer and biweekly fall through winter; organics curbside will be the day after garbage and recycling pickups.
The calendar was designed with the idea to keep residents on track with their “green routine.”
“With the new household organics program being launched in April, we wanted to make it even easier for residents to get ready for the program, keep track of their collection dates and find valuable information like sorting items properly for recycling and organics processing,” said Fabrizio Bertolo, town manager of waste and recycling, in a recent press release.
