What are your priorities for improving social or community services?
As far as social and community services are concerned, I am not the expert, but we are fortunate to have many great people who work in our FCSS (Family and Community Support Services) department who are the experts. I have learned a lot from them over the years and have worked hard to fully understand all that they do and what they deal with in our community. This is an area that the next council needs to get up to speed on and in my opinion we need to as a town support their efforts in addressing those needs as they are identified. In talking to them a couple of the needs to be addressed are for a larger Parent Link Centre and consideration given to transit as a start. There are so many others like ball diamonds and soccer fields for our kids as well as our library which is bursting at the seams, will all need to be addressed.
