The layout of the community and the focus on the success of the Quarry has resulted in a perceived rift between our growing business community and our Historic Downtown businesses. How will you, as a mayor or councillor, foster a business community that is more cohesive?

I appreciate both the Quarry and Historic Downtown business areas and think they have been well planned and executed - however I am a completely transparent candidate that doesn’t offer platitudes or rhetoric.

I am a small government, fiscal conservative that doesn’t believe in subsidy or regulation to favour one business over another.

As a small business owner, all I ask of my local government is to keep taxes competitively low and leave us alone to compete in a free and thriving local market so that we can focus on what we do best – satisfying our customers.

Our business community relationships are best left to the Chamber of Commerce and other local trade groups to foster.
