The Water Valley Church and Events Centre is inviting people to come and celebrate the season with some caroling.

On Dec. 19 from 6 – 8 p.m., people are invited to join in some Christmas caroling at the church, and no singing experience is required.

Kristine Sarsons, who owns the Water Valley Church Events Centre along with her husband Rick, said that hosting the event is something she has wanted to do for a while at the church.

“The sound is beautiful in the church and it was on my wish list from last year –just to hear carols being sung here, just for the joy of singing,” she said. “Carols are a fantastic way to celebrate the season.”

Sarsons’ brother-in-law, Dave Sarsons, is a preacher and a piano player from out of town and he, along with his wife Joan, would be helping with the music as well.

There will also be horse-drawn sleigh rides (weather permitting), hot chocolate and cookies. Admission is free, but Sarsons is encouraging people to bring a food donation for the Mountain View Food Bank.
