Christmas decorations may not be out yet, but the shopping season has definitely begun.

One place to get started is the 31st annual Springbank Christmas Market put on by the Springbank Creative Arts Club.

The event will take place Saturday, Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Springbank High School Gym, just south of Calaway Park.

“We are excited about the lineup for this year,” said Yvonne Bamlett, advertising coordinator with the club.

“There really is something for everyone.”

Bamlett said that this year, all of their available tables had sold out and they would have a lot of new and exciting vendors, as well as some returning favourites.

“Come out and see the latest trends from the crafting and art world, and of course, the classics,” she added.

Members of the club display and sell their artwork and crafts at the show along with non-member vendors.

The show will feature framed original art, up-cycle furniture, clothing, pottery, knitting, quilting, jewelry and more.

Bamlett added that this year there would also be two local published authors on hand with their books.

The event will also be featuring the Alberta Gold Chorus of Sweet Adelines International, which will be doing a roving entertaining performance of four-part harmony on the Saturday.

Admission and parking are free for the event.
