Nominations have opened up for the Cochrane Community Awards.
The opportunity for Cochranites to nominate outstanding local leaders, citizens, youth, schools, businesses, community groups and organizations will remain open until April 10.
Mayor Ivan Brooker, councillors and administration will award recipients in 12 categories at a ceremony to be held at the Cochrane RancheHouse May 24.
A committee of local representatives, including educators, members of the business community and sustainability champions, the Town of Cochrane and the Cochrane and District Chamber of Commerce, lead the initiative.
