Cochrane Eagle wants to hear from you

Newspapers strive to reflect the communities they represent.

Newspapers strive to reflect the communities they represent. Whether that is through coverage of local events, sports, politics, arts, in-depth features or breaking news the objective is to bring readers compelling, informative and up-to-date information.

The Cochrane Eagle takes the responsibility of being the community’s newspaper of record seriously and part of that commitment is being responsive to our readers. In that vein, we have launched a readership survey that will endeavour to paint a clear picture of the reading habits and information needs of our readers.

This long-term project will provide readers an opportunity to weigh-in on what the paper does well, what it can improve on and whether there is content the newspaper is missing or perhaps over reports.

“Surveys are always interesting projects and I am sure we will see a wide variety of responses. I am definitely excited to hear from our readers and look forward to the challenge of taking the information and applying it in a way that will enhance our product and better engage our audience,” said Cochrane Eagle editor Chris Puglia.

Through the duration of the survey, the Cochrane Eagle will post regular up dates in order to provide a snapshot of what our readers have told us.

“The Cochrane Eagle has always been part of the community of Cochrane and this survey is just another way for us to engage with our readers and demonstrate our commitment to a quality product,” said Cochrane Eagle publisher Brenda Tennant.
