Cochrane High alumnus seeks support with cancer battle

Cochrane High alumnus Daniel Chester is asking the public for help after a cancer diagnosis earlier this year.

Chester, a lifetime member of the Cochrane community, was diagnosed with testicular cancer in February when doctors also discovered cancerous lymph nodes in his back.

Due to treatment he has had to delay returning to work and his employer does not cover short-term and long-term disability. Chester is asking the public for help with a $30,000 fundraising goal to assist with costs.

“Daniel is finally home and starting to do better,” said Miles Chester, Daniel’s father.

“It’s a process now and that won’t happen quickly … the community has been amazing.”

Since the family has reached out to the public, they have raised more than $4,000 of the $30,000 goal.
