RAMSHACKLE PLAY

Interested in checking out Cochrane's newest play solution? AMPED2Play has partnered with Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre (SLSFSC) for those of all ages to come out and try a session of Ramshackle Play. Build something from nothing and bring out that kid in you again or simply let your kids discover what authentic play used to be all about. Using recycled materials or even things not imagined to play with nowadays, you will soon discover that we are our most authentic selves in play. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to play with your kids and to learn what AMPED2Play is all about. Tickets are $15 per participant or $60 per family (max 6). Head over to SLSFSC on February 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to interact, problem solve and challenge yourself.

LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHERS RECOGNIZED

Local Cochranites, Samantha Chrysanthou and Darwin Wiggett, are having their work exhibited in this year's Exposure: Alberta’s Photography Festival. The prestigious annual event features work of local, national and international photographers in venues across southern Alberta. The duo's project Small Town Sunday will be on display at The Gentry Espresso & Wine Bar until March 31. The artists will speak about their journey and artistic process at an opening reception at Gentry on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

 

CALLING ALL FAMILIES

 

Looking for a way to spend your family day in Cochrane. Check out the Early Childhood Expo at Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre (SLSFSC) on Monday, Febrauary 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be information booths to learn about all things children. The event is free for families with children 0 to five and will be an opportunity to immerse yourself in family fun activities, as well as learn about your child's development while connecting with the people that serve the community.
