LUNCH N’ LEARN SERIES

The Better Human Leader Lunch n' Learn Series: Inspiring People Potential is coming to Cochrane on Thursday, Jan. 16 from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. The three-part series will take place on Jan. 16, Jan. 30 and Feb. 13 at the Cochrane Movie House. The event includes a brown bag lunch from Guy’s Cafe. Certified executive coaches will share relevant, actionable, research-based content on the value of being a better human leader. SOCIALIZE YOUR PUPPY

 

The Cochrane and Area Humane Society’s (CAHS) Puppy Play Group will take place Thursday, Jan. 16 from 8 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Participants can drop by CAHS at 62 Griffin Industrial Point with their puppy, aged 10 weeks to five months, for a puppy social play date. Small dogs are also welcome. The event is sponsored by Bone & Biscuit, a pet supply store in Cochrane.

 

TALK THE TALK

 

Advance your skills and sign up for six sessions of Nakoda Language 101.2 The classes begin on Jan. 23 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Cochrane RancheHouse and are intended for beginners who have taken the 101.1 class. The course builds on the basics of the Nakoda language, sounds and the alphabet and covers the culture and history of the Stoney Nakoda people. For more information visit www.cochrane.ca/calendar

 

LADIES NIGHT

 

Grab your favourite ladies and head down to Pure Anada Natural Cosmetics in Historic Downtown for a night of makeup, refreshments and a good time. On hand will be a Pure Anada Cosmetic professional who will guide you through creating a makeup look which will leave you feeling beautiful and educated. A swag bag will also have your name written on it, valued at $20. You can shop the night away and have some one-on-one assistance with any questions you may have. The fun filled night gets underway from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16. Tickets are $30. Hurry up and register as there are only 10 spots available. Kindred Cochrane Pride Society is looking for a temporary board member to assist with their mission of LGBTQ2S inclusion, awareness and celebration in the Cochrane area. All are welcome to attend for a casual evening of connections, new and old.
