Cochrane man Gary Forget recently won $2.5 million on a Million Golden Treasures Scratch ‘N Win ticket bought in town.
“It was just unbelievable,” Forget said in a press release. “I don’t really know how to describe my reaction I think I must have been in shock. I started shaking and I pinched myself, I think I had a little cry.”
Forget discovered he became a millionaire as he saw his winning numbers flash across the television screen, when moments earlier he was joking with his wife that he was “going to win a big prize.”
After checking at two different stores, Forget cashed in his $2.5 million prize and said his first priority is going to be his family.
“I might also buy myself a new car,” Forget said. “Something nice, to treat myself.”
