Cochrane RCMP is asking the public for help after suspects damaged approximately 50 golf carts this past weekend.
On Saturday between 6:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. suspect(s) broke into the Links of GlenEagles golf course, gaining access to the maintenance yard. The suspect(s) slashed the tires and upholstery of approximately 50 golf carts.
“It is just a pain – a lot of work and a lot of headache and a lot of dollars for no reason,” said Slade King, general manager of the Links of GlenEagles.
“We already have extensive security, we want to make sure it doesn’t happen again. We are going to analyze (the security) and see where we go from there. You hope for the best in people and go to the extremes to protect your stuff. It is just a waste.”
