The Cochrane Rotary Youth Festival had another successful year. The annual showcase took place on Feb. 7 - 8 at Rock Pointe Church and welcomed young performers of all artistic backgrounds. More than 300 participants, 45 volunteers and local business sponsors made the festival a success. The festival focused on vocal and instrumental performance, musical theatre, speech, bands, composition and visual arts. The non-profit event is made up of local volunteers and awards cash prizes and scholarships.
The Finale winners are as follows:
Award of Distinction: Natalie Evans, Saveah Cholach, Satai Miller and Jenna McMurchy (Snap Dance Studios)
Overall Rotary Award of Excellence: Jorja Polischuk
Next year's festival will take place on Feb. 5, 2021. Vocal and instrumental will take place Feb. 8-9 and the finale will be on Feb. 12.
