Community moms spring into sale

Get ready to clean out your closets, as the annual Mom to Mom sale gets set to spring into action on April 9.

Get ready to clean out your closets, as the annual Mom to Mom sale gets set to spring into action on April 9.

The Cochrane Lioness Club is encouraging people to de-clutter their homes and giving businesses a chance to promote themselves, all while supporting the community.

People are welcome to buy and sell gently-used maternity wear, children’s clothing, baby gear, toys, and books. Tables are available for rent for one person or with a friend for $25 or $20 if you bring your own table.

Businesses will also have the opportunity to promote items and clothing, with a $60 donation. All monies raised from the event will go toward local family and youth initiatives.

The family-friendly event encourages people to bring along their young ones, as there will be a free kids crafts café and a spring photo booth sessions for five to 10 10 minutes with five digital images for $20 – all proceeds from the photo booth going to the RancheView School Fundraising Society.

The Cochrane Lioness Club is a group of women who host various fundraising events throughout the year, making sure the monies go back into the community – supporting organizations such as Bethany Care Centre, Cochrane Activettes, Cochrane Lions Rodeo and the Cochrane Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), to name a few.

The Mom to Mom sale will be hosted at the Cochrane Alliance Church, located at 902 Glenbow Drive, on April 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is $2 per person and free for children.

For businesses that want to promote or rent a table contact Jakki at 403-851-9129. For more information about the spring sale, email the Cochrane Lioness club at [email protected].
