Cochrane Fish & Wildlife received second-hand reports of a cougar sighting near the Bow River at the end of River Ave earlier this week.
Officers conducted a patrol of the area but did not see any cougars.
Cougars are often confused with other animals and true cougar sightings are low in number as they are elusive and generally not found within heavily populated areas.
