Three Calgarians were busted for fake money and drugs in Cochrane on last Thursday. After days of complaints from businesses receiving fake money, Cochrane RCMP caught three people at the Shoppers Drug Mart with counterfeit cash and methamphetamine.

After days of complaints from businesses receiving fake money, Cochrane RCMP caught three people at the Shoppers Drug Mart with counterfeit cash and methamphetamine.

A female and a male both in their early 30s and a female in her late teens, all from Calgary, have been arrested and charged with 19 different charges after RCMP found counterfeit money, including a Canadian $100 bill, three counterfeit American $20 bills and several counterfeit Canadian $50 bills, and drugs in their vehicle.

Shoppers Drug Mart, Quiznos, Hideout Pub Cochrane, and the Vietnamese Noodle House had all received counterfeit cash last week and reported it to the police.

On Monday, Cochrane RCMP received another report of counterfeit cash from the Dollar Store. The RCMP is now working with the U.S. Secret Service because there was American and Canadian counterfeit cash.

Businesses that have received counterfeit money are encouraged to contact the RCMP at 403-851-8000.
