The Cochrane Society for Housing Options (CSHO) was awarded a $15,000 grant from the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) Charitable Foundation Dec. 12. The CSHO was one of four recipients of the foundation’s ‘Governors’ Grant’, out of 29 applications from the region.
“(The selection criteria included) definitely the sustainability of that program, the number of people it would impact for that community and they also looked at how that organization manages their money,” said Aneve MacKay-Lyons, foundation coordinator.
The funds will go toward replacing the siding on the HomeStead Building, an estimated cost of $144,000.
