With construction underway and the Fireside School set to open in September 2017 the fundraising committee is gearing up.
With a new school comes many things, the biggest being a new playground according to organizers. A minimum cost of a playground for a school is $250,000 but organizers said there will be no maximum on amount of funds they are allowed to raise as the money goes to a variety of other things including technology and library books.
For those interested in learning more there will be an introductory meeting on Nov. 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Glenbow School, located at 55 Glenpatrick Rd.
Rocky View School Trustee Fiona Gilbert and Principal of Fireside School Thomas Elbel will attend the meeting to facilitate and show pictures of the new school.
