Lace up your shoes for this year’s Footstock event, which races through the streets of Cochrane this weekend.
The June 14-15 event will see hundreds of fitness enthusiasts running various races, including a 5k, 10k, individual and relay duathlons and a kids’ triathlon.
Footstock is designed to be a fitness getaway, and this year will feature a new 5k course and a longer duathlon with a more challenging route.
The event normally also includes a half marathon, but due to the effects of last year’s flood, that portion of Footstock has been cancelled.
Registration has now closed, so the participants are set, and so far, Environment Canada is calling for rain throughout the weekend, so those taking part in Footstock should prepare for wet conditions.
