The fourth annual ‘Tunes for Trails’ will take place the evening of May 24 at the Bragg Creek Centre.

The annual shindig sees an average attendance of 400 to dance the night away in support of the Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association (GBCTA).

“It’s a great networking opportunity for people who are passionate about the outdoors and the trails around Bragg Creek,” said Scott Diehl, frontman of the band who will be holding down the house that evening — Scuzzy and the Woodticks.

Diehl said the purpose of the GBCTA is “to build new trails and maintain existing trails in the West Bragg Creek area”.

Funds raised this year will help go toward rebuilding parts of the trails system that were damaged by the June 2013 flood; the fundraising goal this year is $25,000.

The evening will have cocktails and late night snacks, as well as a silent auction. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online at braggcreektrails.org.
