Helping Hands Society of Cochrane and Area’s Christmas Kindness Challenge is in full swing and Good Samaritans have begun posting their deeds on the recognition wall at Spray Lake Sawmills Community Sports Centre.
Here are some ideas for good deeds anyone can do:
• Brighten a Neighbours Day!
• Donate food to the food bank for the Share Your Christmas Program (bins available at local grocery stores)
• Pay for the person’s coffee behind you in line at the coffee shop as a surprise
• Donate a new toy to Stuff A Bus this Sunday the 10th at Canadian Tire between 11 and 3 p.m.
• Make a hot chocolate/coffee mix in a jar for your neighbour
• Welcome someone into your home for Christmas cheer
• Introduce yourself to a neighbour you don’t know
• Volunteer with the Helping Hands Newcomer Helper Program
• Visit someone who is homebound in your community
