The society will be hosting the Kid’s Camp at the shelter on April 11 to 15 from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. over the spring break.

The camp is available for kids in Grade 1 to Grade 6 at $190 per child for the five-day week. Children will have their pick of activities including animal themed crafts and games, cuddles with kittens and puppies – depending on availability – and special visits from Valentine the pot-bellied pig.

CAHS was founded in 1998, receiving charitable status in 1999. The society’s mission is to provide food, shelter, medical care and the opportunity for adoption; to unwanted, surrendered, lost and unclaimed animals while promoting responsible pet ownership through educational programs.
