The annual Cochrane and Area Humane Society (CAHS) Fall Book Sale is a two-day affair, taking place Oct. 19-20 from noon-5 p.m.

“The goal of the Fall Book Sale is to raise $4,000,” explained CAHS spokesperson, Cheryl Wallach. “Last year’s fall sale raised $3,200.”

Book worms and bargain shoppers can expect to find a wealth of fiction, non-fiction and how-to books, as well as selected DVDs, CDs and VHS tapes.

All of the proceeds generated from the sale will go toward the animals in the shelter’s care; currently, CAHS is brimming with bunnies and kittens in search of a new home.

“The people of Cochrane and area have been outstanding supporters of our work since the beginning and we are so grateful.” Learn more at cochranehumane.ca.
