Organizers of the Bragg Creek Performing Arts Series are calling their next concert offering, “a must-see, for those seeking an unforgettable musical journey.”
Tim Isberg’s show is a part of the BCPA Concert & Confections series, which includes, “a delightful spread of tea, coffee and treats included with your ticket price.”
A cash bar will also be available for patrons.
The concert will be on Saturday April 13. Concert starts at 8 pm, doors open at 7 pm, at the Bragg Creek Snowbirds Chalet at 19 Balsam Avenue.
Isberg is from Isberg from the heart of southern Alberta and is passionate about Western Canadian history.
“I am fascinated by the history that is right under our feet,” Isberg explained.
His latest album, ”Prairie Fire,” has just been released, and he is coming to share this music with Bragg Creek.
Inspired by the narratives and historical events of the late 1880s, his music appeals to both music enthusiasts and history buffs.
In addition to being a performer, Isberg is an engaging storyteller. He is an accomplished singer-songwriter who has shared his musical talents with audiences around the globe.
Isberg’s repertoire melds Alt-country, Roots, and Folk melodies with his unique perspective on life. His goal is to connect with listeners in a deeply personal way.
In their release about the concert, the Performing Arts organizers say:
“It’s on stage where Tim truly shines, as he effortlessly weaves stories and songs with sincerity and a delightful sense of humour. The backbone of Tim’s music lies in his solid guitar rhythms and his ability to transport his audience into the very heart of each song’s narrative.”
The military veteran is an accomplished singer-songwriter.
“From Rwanda to Afghanistan, Tim has first hand experience of the challenges while deployed in different cultures and conflicts and amid the best and worst humanity has to offer,” his website states. “As a performer, he has entertained audiences in many corners of the world.
“Tim is a storyteller who brings a Americana blend of well-crafted Alt-Country, Roots and Contemporary Folk songs to the stage and a unique and endearing array of life experiences he shares in a way that makes each listener feel connected.”
A multiple Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMA) nominee, Isberg's album ”Tears Along The Road,” recorded with Grammy nominee and celebrated JUNO award-winning producer-engineer Miles Wilkinson, was selected by Music Canada as one of the Top 25 favourite Albums of 2015.
His 2019 album, ”Running On The Edge” was nominated as Top 5 Best Album of the Year by Country Music Alberta. His upcoming history-themed album “Prairie Fire” is based on captivating story songs of 19th century prairies and western plains.
Isberg is also a published author. The 2017 book Everyday Heroes, a national bestseller, includes a chapter on one of his adventures in the line of duty.
