Rescued dogs residing at the Cochrane and Area Humane Society were given a warm gift on Tuesday.

Carlos Siguenza, owner of the recently opened Noble Fox cafe donated approximately 80 dog sweaters and jackets to the shelter.

Siguenza said his wife used to run a home dog grooming service but stopped the side business once they opened the cafe. That left the pair with various dog merchandise, which they opted to donate.

"Better than to have them and sell them individually, just donate them for pets," Siguenza said. "I hear they're pretty stumped with dogs there and cats."

Janaia Hutzal, the CAHS communication representative, said the shelter plans to pay the sweaters forward to new adoptees.

"The sweaters are a wonderful treat for our short-haired pets especially on the cold winter walks and are sincerely appreciated," Hutzal said.

For anyone looking to donate to CAHS, a wish-list can be viewed at www.cochranehumane.ca/donate/wish-list/.
