Jumpstart, a charitable organization through Canadian Tire,] provides funds to help children get off the sidelines and start developing traits, such as confidence teamwork and creativity.

Four years ago Cochrane’s Canadian Tire began administering its own Jumpsstart program instead of contributing to the national campaign in an effort to benefit more local youth.

All of the money raised goes toward programs for Cochrane children. Last year $50,000 was raised helping 274 kids. To date the program has raised $25,000 to help 124 children.

Any questions about volunteering or parent access to funding through Jumpstart, go to jumpstart.canadiantire.ca or phone 403-851-0770.
