Townhall Public House Cochrane is hosting its first comedy night on May 29.
Kevin Stobo, a Banff-native comedian, will be headlining the evening. Some of Stobo’s many accolades include appearing on Just For Laughs, a world-famous Montreal comedy festival, and hosting numerous TV and radio shows.
Opening for Stobo will be Ben Cannon, recent University of Calgary graduate, and Todd Ness, winner of the 2014 Yuk Yuks Chase Your Butterfly Contest.
Ten per cent of the ticket sales from the evening will be donated to the Red Cross to help with Fort McMurray fire relief. The city is currently battling a devastating wildfire that forced its 94,000 residents to evacuate.
Located at 2101 101 Sunset Dr., doors will open at 7 p.m. with the show starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
