Cochranite Rick Luckasavitch took note of this moose on April 15 near his home in RiverCrest.
Luckasavitch said the cow has been in the area for a week and the resident wishes to caution local residents walking toward the river on River Heights Lane or River Heights Rise to keep their dogs on a leash.
"While I have not seen any sign of a calf – that might be happening soon and moose will defend their calves," said Luckasavitch.
