Lottery tickets stolen in Cochrane

Lottery tickets were stolen from a vehicle in Cochrane earlier this month.

“I'm not sure why anyone steals from someone’s car but the tickets weren't all sold so there wasn't even $50 with the tickets … it’s just sad that this was going toward an event to be able to help pay our costs for the provincial championships,” explained organizer Lisa Fisher.

Organizers need to inform the public that tickets were stolen, according to Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC),

The Alberta Equestrian Vaulting Association was hosting a raffle for two $500 Gift Cards to Costco (437763), to be drawn on Sept. 25 in Cardston. Twenty tickets were stolen from Cochrane.

“We look forward to this event for several months so we try to use a fundraiser to help with the arena costs and flying/accommodating judges,” Fisher said.

The Alberta Equestrian Vaulting Association currently has six clubs in the province.

Ticket numbers affected are #141-150 and #161-170. Theses tickets will no longer be eligible for the draw. If you have currently purchased one of these tickets please contact 403-559-6914.
