The Morley townsite underwent some water supply issues last week, impacting schools, businesses and townsite residents Feb. 24-25.

Both Nation schools were closed Feb. 25.

According to Rob Shotclose, CEO for the Bearspaw band, administration has suspected a leak in the townsite water system.

A sudden break in the system saw the reservoir drained and the diminished water supply for the better part of the two day period.

Cochrane RCMP had planned a recruitment session, which was supposed to be held at the Bearspaw Youth Centre, for Feb. 24, but were forced to cancel the event due to the water issue.

The session is expected to occur sometime in the near future.
