A Calgary mother has pleaded not guilty to the murder of her daughter, whose body was found along Highway 8 southeast of Cochrane on Feb. 26.
Calgary RCMP’s Major Crimes unit responded to the reports of a body alongside Highway 8 and identified the remains as 24-year-old Sarah Rabik of Calgary.
At the time of the discovery, it was unknown where and how Sarah was killed.
On June 25 Rabik’s mother, 60-year-old Debora Rabik, was charged with second-degree murder and causing an indignity to a body.
Debora Rabik’s preliminary hearing will be held in Calgary Provincial Court April 11 to 14, 2022.
