It is easy to get your donation together: find an empty shoebox; choose whether you’re packing your box for a boy or girl and what age (2-4, 5-9 or 10-14); fill the shoebox with a variety of gifts, such as school supplies, toys and hygiene products, along with a personal note and photo if you wish; donate $7 for each box you fill; and finally, find the nearest shoebox collection centre to drop it off at.

Cochranites can drop their boxes off at the Cochrane Alliance Church, Your Dollar Store with More, Cochrane Lanes, Big Hill Leisure Pool or Riverbend Interiors.

For those who need boxes, Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre can provide one.

Boxes collected in Western Canada this year will be shipped to children in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Venezuela, Paraguay, Guinea and Equatorial Guinea.

Shoeboxes can also be packed online by visiting samaritanspurse.ca/shoebox.
