The former Cochrane Dodge dealership location — at the corner of Fifth Ave. and Railway Street — has been vacant since the end of March leaving some to ponder what will become of the spacious lot.
Property owner Glen Rumpel of GER Investments confirmed that he has plans to sell the property, but is uncertain as to when the property will be listed.
A ‘Phase Two Environmental Site Assessment’ — a report prepared for a real estate holding to identify any potential or existing environmental contaminants — is set to take place within the next couple of weeks and Rumpel said he is uncertain as to the time frame to list the property.
According to Town of Cochrane communications senior advisor Laurie Drukier, “the town does not have that property on our list to pursue.”
The Cochrane Dodge dealership is now located at 6 River Heights Drive.
