One man was sent to hospital as a result of a vehicle rollover on the George Fox Trail bridge over the Jumpingpound Creek.
Cochrane RCMP was called to the scene of the single vehicle crash just before noontime May 12.
Witness reports indicate the Ford Escape was traveling down a hill when it swerved, hit the guardrail and rolled onto the bridge, said Cpl. Troy Savinkoff.
“Police are still actively investigating the cause of this collision,” he said.
He added that alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
The lone male occupant was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure, said Savinkoff.
On May 9, police responded to the corner of Highway 22 and Highway 567 after receiving a call that a flatbed truck has spilled an unknown blue fluid onto the shoulder of the road.
Savinkoff said the fluid is believed to be fertilizer. He remarked that Commercial Vehicle Enforcement attended the scene, and Alberta Environment was contacted.
Charges were issued to the driver of the flatbed truck and investigations are ongoing.
