Marijuana, crack, cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, and MDMA were recently seized during a major drug bust in Cochrane last Sunday.

RCMP stopped the vehicle on Highway 1A east of Cochrane for a burnt out taillight, when the officer noticed an “overwhelming odor of marijuana” and could see illicit drugs inside the vehicle.

Three people have been charged including two males, a 26-year-old and 29-year-old from Calgary and a 20-year-old female from Cochrane.

Police also seized a firearm, knives, bear spray, drug paraphernalia and a large sum of Canadian currency.

The three were charged with multiple offences including possession of meth, marijuana and MDMA.

Suspect wanted

RCMP are asking the public for help after a break and enter in Rocky View County.

The suspect(s) broke a motor vehicle in a storage lot parking lot to gain access to the secured storage located at 130 Commercial Court last Wednesday.

Security video showed a suspect wearing a balaclava and a dark Chevrolet Silverado entering the compound. The vehicle has duct tape on the left (passenger’s) side mirror mount and a scrape on the roof.
