RCMP continue hunt for attempted murderer

RCMP continue to search for suspect in an attempted murder case.

Malik Holloway is being sought by police.

RCMP say a Morley man charged with attempted murder is still at large and his victim remains in hospital.

Police issued a warrant for Malik Holloway in relation to an attempted murder that occurred on Aug. 4, 2019, on the Stoney Nakoda Reserve.

"We're actively looking for him and have the resources in place to find and arrest him," said Sgt. Ryan Singleton, with the Cochrane RCMP. Singleton said Holloway is known to frequent the Calgary area as well as Morley.

As of this morning, the condition of the victim remains serious and the nature of the injuries are not being released out of respect for the family.

Holloway is described as an Indigenous male having black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 160 lbs and 5’11” with several small tattoos on his face, including a small 1” cross under his left eye.

Singleton said Holloway is wanted on a number of other outstanding warrants.
