A rollover driver from Morley is now in stable condition.

On Feb. 24 there was single-vehicle rollover at the tunnel under Highway 1 between Bear Hill Road and Morley Road, with a 53-year-old male driver and 35-year-old male passenger from Morley.

The driver was airlifted by STARS ambulance to Foothills Hospital in critical life-threatening condition but has since stabilized. The passenger was transported by EMS with non-life threatening injuries and was released from the hospital last night.

The vehicle was traveling westbound on Bear Hill Road, when it left the roadway and rolled. Alcohol and speed are not considered to be a factor. Investigators suspect the accident was a result of a medical incident.
