“Screen Test has two mobile screening units that provide services to women in over 110 communities in rural Alberta, ” states a press release from AHS.
The clinic will start at 8 a.m. on Jan. 21 and will end at 6 p.m. on Jan. 29 at the Urgent Care Centre, 60 Grande Blvd. in Cochrane.
Women ages 40-49 are advised to talk with their health care providers about their risk of breast cancer and whether they need a screening mammography.
Women aged 50-74 are advised to have a screening mammography every two years.
Women 75 years and older should talk to their health care provider to determine whether a screening mammography should be part of their breast health routine.
